Our Convener, Professor Andrea Nolan, is giving evidence to the Education and Skills Committee of the Scottish Parliament on Wednesday 7 September as part of a session themed on further and higher education .

We have submitted a short brief on the opportunities and challenges facing Scottish higher education in advance of this session. You can download our written evidence here.

We identified access to higher education and the recommendations from the Commission on Widening Access as a priority and an opportunity for higher education. We also mentioned the live review of enterprise and skills as an opportunity as well as the apprenticeship levy and the high performance of Scotland’s HE sector as an asset. Looking to challenges, we identified sustainable funding and Brexit.
