Universities Scotland’s response to UK Government’s Scotland Analysis: Science and research paper

Responding to the publication of the UK Government’s Scotland Analysis: Science and research paper today (Monday 11 November), Universities Scotland’s Convener, Professor Pete Downes said:

“We welcome the paper’s recognition of the strengths which Scotland brings to the overall UK research and innovation eco-system. This collaborative eco-system transcends all borders and strengthens the quality of research and development. It is in everyone’s interests that this important and vigorous cross-border collaboration is supported to continue, whatever the result of the constitutional referendum.”

Universities Scotland does not have a preferred constitutional option. It is for the people of Scotland to decide Scotland’s constitutional future.
