The GSA Provides Update on the Future of the Mackintosh Building

The Glasgow School of Art (GSA) has today published a detailed and up-to-date analysis of options for the future of the Mackintosh Building.

Commenting on the update, a spokesperson from Universities Scotland said;

“Today’s announcement is a positive and purposeful milestone in the Mackintosh building’s journey. It represents an enormous amount of time, resource and care invested by the Glasgow School of Art, reflecting the institution’s deep commitment to the Mack’s historical, architectural and cultural significance to Scotland and internationally. The Glasgow School of Art is setting out ambitious and achievable proposals that would position the building as part of a bigger opportunity to catalyse something truly transformational for the creative industries in the city, the region and for Scotland. The Mack has always been important, and the Art School has chartered a path to ensure its contribution will evolve so that it continues to be felt, economically and culturally, for generations to come.”
