Universities Scotland has welcomed the announcement of the finalists for the second year of the The Herald’s Higher Education Awards. The awards, in association with the University of the West of Scotland, comprise 12 categories that look to recognise the outstanding achievements of colleges and universities.
We are supporting the awards this year and have sponsored the Partnership Award category, which is about innovative collaboration between institutions with a transformative impact. The awards will take place at a gala dinner on Thursday, July 14 at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Glasgow. (Full details here.)
Universities Scotland’s Director, Alastair Sim, who was part of the expert judging panel for the awards, said:
“The quality of entries from universities and colleges reflects the breadth of excellence across all aspects of the higher education sector. I was impressed by the range of projects submitted and struck by how many of them had the potential to transform peoples’ lives.”
“It has been difficult task to choose the final shortlist, but all the entrants should be very proud of what they’re contributing to Scotland.”
The full list of finalists can be found below and we wish all shortlisted institutions well ahead of the awards dinner on 14 July:
