Universities Scotland respond to the second annual report of the Commissioner for Fair Access

Following the publication of the second annual report of the Commissioner for Fair Access, a spokesperson for Universities Scotland said:

“There’s a lot in this report that’s designed to keep the pressure on universities and we’ve come to expect that from the Commissioner but there is also a clear recognition of the amount of progress made and just how much time and energy universities are investing in this agenda. Over the last year universities have made big changes, like the whole sector setting minimum entry requirements for applicants from the most disadvantaged areas, and the progress is quantifiable with universities now in touching distance of the interim sector-wide targets of 2021.”
